Chief Engineer and Soundsmith, Larry Baker, has mixed award-winning tracks at Headroom Studios. A veteran of studio engineering for more than 30 years, he has worked on productions for several Canadian and US networks. His varied experience in location recording for film and video plus mixing and sound effects creation brings to each project those "extras" that produce top quality results.

Headroom Studios is an audio facility designed to handle all aspects of soundtrack preparation and post production. Our Pro Tools workstations are locked to Betacam video via time code. Audio mixes are mastered to a Sony 7030 time code DAT machine or laid back directly to Beta SP video masters. For film to video transfers, we can sync your original location audio to the video with our film rate pull down.

The suite has extensive CD music and sound effects libraries and a large voice studio for narration with video monitoring. The Headroom Studios voice room is exceptionally comfortable for dialogue replacement and Foley work, when those special sounds need to be uniquely created. Original music scoring is offered as well, with free music demos for edited scenes, to give producers an idea of the musical treatment.
